These clusters' primary purpose is to process gravitational-wave data from the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatories (LIGO) at Hanford, WA and Livingston, LA for the WSU Relativity Group.

This project has been funded by the National Science Foundation.

Cluster-Based Supercomputing

Algor.physics.wsu.edu

Algor is our 66-node cluster. It runs on the Rocks clustering platform on CentOS Linux, using Condor for job management.

Cluster Specifics:

Pleiades.physics.wsu.edu

Pleiades is our 25-node cluster. It runs on a custom clustering platform built on top of the Ubuntu Linux server distribution. It also uses Condor for job management; processes flock from Algor.
