LIGO Processing
These clusters' primary purpose is to process gravitational-wave data from the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatories (LIGO) at Hanford, WA and Livingston, LA for the WSU Relativity Group.
This project has been funded by the National Science Foundation.
Cluster-Based Supercomputing
Algor.physics.wsu.edu
Algor is our 66-node cluster. It runs on the Rocks clustering platform on CentOS Linux, using Condor for job management.

- Intel Pentium 4 2.0GHz Processors
- 512MB RAM
- 1.5TB shared storage
- 2U Rackmount cases in 3 racks in WSU ITS
Pleiades.physics.wsu.edu
Pleiades is our 25-node cluster. It runs on a custom clustering platform built on top of the Ubuntu Linux server distribution. It also uses Condor for job management; processes flock from Algor.

- 25-Node
- AMD 2600+ Processors
- 512MB RAM
- 200G shared storage
- Standard ATX cases located in Wilson
